Arkansas Digital Government Summit
Default Type
8:00am
As we all look for ways to improve the delivery of public services, I would like to announce our first Arkansas Digital Government Summit. Through building partnerships and working together with industry leaders, I hope we can use this event to build upon Arkansas' technology talent. With today's economic challenges, we can utilize networking and information sharing to continue to move Arkansas public services forward.

The inaugural Summit is scheduled for Monday, November 8, 2010, at the Peabody Hotel in Little Rock beginning with a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. The Summit will cover a wide range of topics related to the public sector, including Sustainability and Going Green and Managing Networks Under Today鈥檚 Demands.  If you would like to review the complete agenda, please click on http://www.arkansas.gov/dis/newsroom/files/summit_agenda__for_11.08.10.pdf<http://e2ma.net/go/8710365873/3156989/99380821/37896/goto:http:/www.arkansas.gov/dis/newsroom/files/summit_agenda__for_11.08.10.pdf>.

The event is designed for state and local government leaders, agency directors, and agency IT staff with the overall goal of fostering discussion and dialogue and educating participants with regard to the use of IT as a strategic tool for managers, executives, and policy makers. I especially encourage IT staff to register for the Summit to be included in this important dialogue and to benefit from seeing the latest in digital government solutions, learn more about current policy issues, and network with key government executives, technologists, and industry specialists.

For more information or to register for the upcoming Arkansas Digital Government Summit, please go to our website www.dis.arkansas.gov<http://e2ma.net/go/8710365873/3156989/99380822/37896/goto:http:/www.dis.arkansas.gov/>. Government registration is only $25. In the event of budgetary constraints, scholarships are available.

I look forward to seeing you there!

Sincerely,

Claire Bailey

GEAKS is now, officially, one year old.  Come prepared to discuss problems that your district is having or solutions that you think might help others.  The GEAKS meeting is free to all attendees and is a great time of information and round-table discussion.  T-Shirts and Polos will be available to purchase.
